Hey everyone!
Well, I've moved out. I now live in an small unit close to Perth (30min walk). I wont be able to update until I get my internet sorted out, as it's being a bit crap at the moment.

Guitar Wolf @ Amplifier, Perth
I went to see Guitar Wolf with my friend Jane on the 9th of December. Here is what I wore:
Makeup was silver and green. I'm using eyeshadow colours other than black and it's freaking me out.
I also got the cute bat and spider chain necklace from ebay.
I didn't wear a corset, and I wore my most comfy stompy shoes. I also used a shoulder bag so I had my hands free.
Bauhaus shirt: Internet then DIY
Skirt: Target
Tights: We Love Colors
Boots: 14 hole Dr Martens
Lace gloves: Supre I think (Australian pre-teen store)
Here is my friend Jane looking heaps gorgeous. She's the girl who runs Minx Corsetry
First off I want to say that this was ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS I'VE EVER SEEN!!
I first became aware of Guitar Wolf from the cult horror, Wild Zero. I saw it on late night tv and loved it straight away (I even managed to tape it on VHS which I still have)
So I was super happy to hear they were coming to Perth. They are one of the bands I thought I'd never see.
They played at Amplifier, which I have never been to. The venue was okay, it was small but good for the size crowd that there was. I got a great view front and to the side, I got my punk on and was dancing to everything. From the start the band was energetic. This lasted for their whole set! They didn't even stop for a break for water or anything!! I'm not sure if that is part of their show, or maybe because they're Japanese they're not good at small talk. In any case it was totally awesome, Guitar Wolf was flinging his sweat everywhere and spitting.
There was some great posing by Guitar Wolf during the set.
My favourite is Drum Wolf. He just kept going and going. I don't understand how they can keep going when they play such fast music.
Drum Wolf was brilliant though, whenever he stopped he leaned casually against his kit like he was bored. He even pulled out a comb and fixed his quiff! Then he took off his shirt and showed off his brilliant traditional tattoos.
This guy was pulled up on stage and Guitar Wolf gave him his guitar to play. Guitar Wolf held onto the dreadlock dude until it was time to play, then the dreadlock guy went wild! He was flinging his hair everywhere and it was totally epic.
There was a bit of crowed surfing and moshing going on, which I don't join in. I have recently got new ear piercings so I wanted to keep away from that. A few times a crowd surfer got close, but me and Jane ran away :P
Being on the side usually means you're not part of the moshing or pushing, and you can run when you see a surfer coming your way. I've never been a fan of moshing, all those sweaty dudes are just gross. Plus, I'm usually the person getting smashed in the face (not good when you have piercings and a nose chain)The encore was played by Guitar Wolf alone.
I really suggest seeing them if you can. Jane had never heard of them, but she really enjoyed herself.

Le Professeur Gothique's Monthly Homework Assignment: Comfort and Joy
This month Le Professeur Gothique asked the question "how do you relax?"
The answer is pretty simple for me. It's being alone in my bedroom.
It's summer now. It's basically 40 degrees every damn day. I can't be bothered putting on nice clothes, I can't go out during the day. Summer sucks basically. Christmas is usually hot, I hate it. I'm not good at being around people, even my family.
The best place for me to be is my bedroom. I love it, it has everything to make me feel secure and happy.
I'm still living with my parents, I'm working on renting an apartment now that I have a steady job. My bedroom is really tiny and I have to shove everything in somehow.
Door to my bedroom. You can see some of my posters and my bed.
Here is my bed.
My bookcase, and dressing table thing. My door is to the right.
Bookcase, bedside table and bin.
Back of my door.
My chest of drawers is broken, most of my clothes are just shoved on the space in front. I also bought a TV just so I could play my video games :)
I hate how my room is tiny and I don't have enough space for anything. I wish I had enough room for a full length mirror. I usually have to guess what I look like before leaving.
I feel so safe and happy in my room. I can hide away and just do whatever I want without getting into trouble.
If I feel really crappy then I listen to the Cure. Somehow it always gets my mind off how lame everything is, even if it's only for a short while.
Then there is reading. Since I was a kid I've used reading to escape from bad home situations. I love re-reading my favourites. I've read Little Women a billion times and it's probably my favourite book.
The book I'm reading here is Persuasion which is my favourite Jane Austen book. It's very romantic and I think so much better than her other ones (I really dislike the popularity of Pride and Prejudice)

The Start Of Terrible Summer
I DJed at The Loft last Sunday. Here is what I wore:
I helped my little sister put up the xmas tree. It's been really really hot recently, so I wore a nice dress. It seriously didn't get below 20 degrees at night :(
Dress: City Chic
Belt: Torrid
Leggings: Target
Winklepickers: Demonia
I also recently got some colour added to my librarian tattoo. I still have a bit to go!
I got a new nail polish which I recommend. Midnight Affair by Revlon. It's a deep blue/black, it's great if you get tired of wearing black polish all the time (like I do). I need to find a nice emerald green now.

Perth Slutwalk 2011
It took a long time for Slutwalk to happen in Perth, but it finally happened today. It was 36 degrees, so I put on heaps of sunscreen.
My sign said "no one asks for rape" and "blame the rapist, not the victim"
Here is me with my sign. We had a walk through Perth into Northbridge. I'm not good at shouting, so I left that to other people. I think around 100 people turned up, lots of girls and guys. At the end of the walk everyone sat in the shade (with free water and lollies!) and listened to some great speakers. We even had the girl from the New Zealand Slutwalk speak to us!
I really enjoyed being there, it was my first feminist rally. I wanted to put my hawk up and dress a bit more awesome, but I recently got colour on my tattoo so I couldn't show my arms and it was so hot.
My friend Dani came with me. Most my other friends were too lame to come.
Dani also gave me my belated birthday presents. She made this hairclip herself, it's totally awesome.
She also made this doll to look like me, with piercings and hair :)
We had waffles and iced chocolate for lunch. Great on such a hot day.
