Oh, Fremantle!

I love Fremantle so much, it's very beautiful. People always complain how Perth is 'boring', but I love Perth. People don't realise that every city is basically the same. You have to find the good points.

I went to Fremantle on Sunday (27th May) with my best friend Hayley and her girlfriend Kylie. We went to check out the vintage markets that were on due to the Perth Burlesque Festival. There wasn't really anything good, but they were offering free hair styling so Kylie got some pretty victory rolls.

We did the usual lap around Fremantle. I bought some Scottish Tablet and stocked up on incense (8 for $5!)
We took some photos at Timezone and got icecream :)

My hair looks crazy bright in the sun. I have no idea why.

Skirt: Evans
Pussybow shirt: Target
Tights: Kmart

Here is Kylie and my best friend Haze!

Oh yeah!

We caught the sunset on the way home :)

Piles of New Clothes

Last week I got so many new clothes! City Chic are currently having a 50%-75% off sale. This is huge! Usually only one of their dresses costs $100, but I got a few outfits for $100. I'm very proud of myself :)

I'm wearing red!! Isn't that spooky? The red skirt was defiantly an impulse buy, I wasn't sure if it suited me and I didn't have a friend there to give me an opinion.
I also bought the lace pussy-bow top. Pussy-bows are awesome, and this will look great with a corset!!
The red belt is from my wardrobe.

The back has a cute cutout.

The skirt is an animal print. I think I will have to get used to it!

This dress looks so UGLY on the hanger. I wasn't going to even try it on at the store because it looked so yucky. But I ended up trying it, and it's basically the cutest dress ever.

Such a cute dress! I'm very glad that I took the time to try it on. There were a bunch of dresses that I tried on, and it turned out that the ones I wanted didn't sit properly on me. They were made out of horrible heavy material. The last item I bought was a cardigan with lace on the sleeves. I didn't take a photo because I'm lazy :)

If you follow BatFit, you'll know that Le Professor Gothique has lost a lot of weight and it looking fabulous!! But what is a girl to do with all of her too-big clothes? Well, give them to me, of course!!
That's right! Le Professor Gothique sent me all of her old clothes from America. I was so excited to receive them, but also a bit scared because I didn't know what the sizing would be like. American and Australian sizing is so different!
Luckily everything fit!! It's such a strange feeling actually holding clothes that you've seen on someone else's blog. If you look through Le Professor Gothique's archive you'll find most of these clothes! It's surreal. I'm such a lucky girl, and she was a great sport sending her clothes to me.

Here we have a black lightweight jacket, I'm not sure what the fabric is but it's great for the weather we're having at the moment. I wore this to work last week, so you can see one of my badges already on the jacket :)
Also a cute grey leopard print skirt. I never thought that I would own a leopard print skirt!
There was also a gift with my package, a Trash and Vaudeville shirt! YAY!

This is the same jacket, but in purple. I've never owned a purple jacket! So exciting.
This is most likely the most cutest shirt I now own. It's a sheer lace top that's very flowy and flattering to my figure.
The skirt is very interesting and has little fluttering points of fabric. The belt is so 80s! I love it!
There were some other awesome clothes included in my package, but I'm a bit lazy today :)

THANK YOU TO LE PROFESSOR GOTHIQUE! You are seriously the best, I have so many awesome clothes.

The Rocky Horror Murder Show

Yesterday I joined my sister to go and see The Rocky Horror Murder Show. It's a small budget dinner show based on Rocky Horror with a "whodunit?" murder theme.

Me and my sister had a table to ourselves. On each table they had little party things :)

We sat down and ordered our food (calamari, yum). I also got a pint of lemonade.
The show started with the cast picking out two people to play Brad and Janet. They had to put on some underwear over their clothes :P
Whenever they said "Brad" we had to yell "Arsehole!"
Whenever they said "Janet" we had to yell "Slut!"

The show started with Brad and Janet arriving at the castle and the Time Warp.
They then pulled up a old dude to be Frank. He had to put on a bra and suspenders over his clothes. Then the REAL Frank appeared. He sung Sweet Transvestite.

The cast looked alright. Their enthusiasm made up for their lack of awesome costume. Rocky was played by a buff midget in a wig.

Eddie was played by another audience member who had to just lay down on the ground.
Then we had to guess who did it. Each table asked a question that was written in an envelope.
We got "Magenta: Is that your natural hair colour?"

After that was done there was a quiz. They asked questions and we had to shout out our table number and the answer to the question.
Me and Kirsty got the tricky questions right.

We had:
What is the name of the town where Brad and Janet are from? Denton
What is Magenta holding in her hand during the Touch Me song? A hair dryer
Which actor made his debut in the film? Tim Curry
What were the names of the newlyweds at the beginning of the film? Betty Munroe and Ralph Hapshat
What was the sequel called? Shock Treatment

I think most of the other tables were getting annoyed that we were calling out all of the right answers :P
In the end it turned out that we won with 10 points!!! YAY! We got a box of chocolates as a prize.

We didn't end up finding out who killed Eddie, that prize went to the most creative answer.
At the end of the show everyone stood up and did the Time Warp again! :)

I wore:
Cotton biker jacket: Internet
Zombie shirt: from Manchester UK
Skirt: Second hand from Le Professeur Gothique
Boots: Dr. Marten

My sister and me. Kirsty's blonde hair is the same colour as mine would be if I didn't dye it!

Another Day, Another Loft

Sunday, May 20th 2012- I really enjoy ending my week with going to The Loft on Sundays. It's a chance to get dressed up and listen to good music (although lack of cute boys to look at)
I wore:
Lace undershirt: gift from ex-friend
Lace top: New Look
Skirt: Target
Leggings: Target
Winklepickers: Demonia

Ignore the high contrast, I'm trying to show you how awesome this lace top it. It looks great! I'm sad that I don't have more chances to wear it.

I bought these awesome 80s style earrings while in Sydney. They're a shiney dark metal, and they go great with my outfit

Enter With Drag-On

My friend from work invited me to a party. It was a birthday party for two girls that I have met but haven't held a long conversation with. The theme was drag! :)
I had three of my friends come over so I could do their makeup

I wore jeans, shirt and my cotton biker jacket. Very simple. I tried to do a quiff, but my hair is a bit short at the front. I wore my nose spike, I love it so much but it's sometimes a little too masculine to wear everyday.

Wednesday Wants

I haven't done this in so long, but there are a few things that I would really like to have.

First is a t-shirt by Mishka.

The Queen tee by Mishka

I CAN'T FIND THIS ANYWHERE!!! It's sold out all over the interenet, and the only place it's available is on a Japanese website (that I can't understand) and a Thai website (that I've emailed, but they haven't got back to me). I also emailed Mishka to see if there was any still available, no luck :(
I really, really, really want this shirt. If anyone has leads please tell me!

£35.00

So expensive, but so cute. I'm thinking about buying this with my next pay.

Right now:
I'm watching Season 4 of Ru Paul's Drag Race. I don't watch Australia television (the tv in my apartment is used for video games) so I had to get a hold of this show the naughty way.

"If you don't love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love somebody else?"

My favourite Queen is Raja, the winner of Season 3. If only he was straight! He's very foxy, and has great charisma.

I really enjoy watching Ru Paul's Drag Race. It makes me feel good about myself. I see all of these different body types and faces getting dressed up and looking fabulous. All the costumes and makeup and bitchiness. I love drag queens!

Some of the challenges require the Queens to make their own outfit. Some can't even sew! Sometimes I really doubt that they make their clothes without any help. Even I have trouble making clothes, and I'm a pretty good sewer! :P

EBM Grows On You: Part 5

Aggrotech and Hellectro. Wikipedia defines this as "Aggrotech regularly consists of harsh song structures, aggressive beats, and explicit, pessimistic, militant lyrics" [source]

It was a bit difficult to get into this sort of music. I really dislike screamy singing, but I think the band that made me love Aggrotech was Feindlug. I slowly started listening to the music more and got used to it over time.

Ersatzteil by Feindflug

I remember hearing this song so often at the club that I really started to like it. It's so stompy and flowing at the same time.

Another Aggrotech band is Nactmahr, who I had the pleasure of seeing in 2011. A very good band with a great stage performance.

Tanzdiktator by Nachtmahr

Boom Boom Boom by Nactmahr

Here are some more songs:

Spit It Out by Aesthetic Perfection

Bind Torture Kill by Suicide Commando

The Source by God Module

Loft Outfit, 6th May 2012

What I wore:
Cotton biker jacker: Deranged Designs
Shirt: Seibei
Skirt: Big W
Tights: Kmart
Winklepickers: Demonia

I've always wanted a biker jacket, but sadly I don't suit leather. I just look so much larger when I wear a leather jacket. I was so happy when I found a cotton version on Angry, Young & Poor. They didn't have the size XL in stock, so I bought it from Deranged Designs instead ($70). I was a bit worried that it wouldn't fit me, when it arrived I was so glad that it fit like my other cotton jacket :)
The next step is for me to sew my patches on it, and I really want to stud it too. I just have to figure out where to put the studs :)

I'm wearing my amazing "I'm Fat Let's Party" shirt from Seibei. The only thing I dislike about this shirt is the yellow writing, but it could be worse.

Blue lip balm from Morgana Cryptoria

Sydney, April 20th-22nd 2012

I was invited to go with my best friend, Merissa, to Sydney to attend Mr and Miss Alternative Finals. The event runners, John and Sharon, are from Perth and are owners of a clothing website and sponsors of The Crypt.

I thought I wouldn't be able to save up enough money for the trip, but I stuck to my budget. I had never been over to east Australia before, my first plane trip was to the UK in 2010.

We decided to catch a plane on Thursday, so that we'd have Friday to sight see (Saturday was for helping out with the competition contestants. Sunday wasn't planned).

We arrived nice and early at the airport. We grabbed a milkshake each and waited for our plane to board. The plane trip was alright, we laughed too much while watching t.v. and the lady sitting next to us gave us evil stares.

We touched down in Sydney around 11pm and caught a taxi to our hotel. We stayed at the fancy Novotel for the first night. I've never stayed in a hotel before, so I was super excited.

The beds were so soft! Merissa just flopped down on one and didn't want to move.

They had an Ipod dock, so I got to play my tunes loudly.

And a bathtub!! SO FANCY!

We got a buffet breakfast in the morning, which was really nice. It gave us strength for the huge amount of walking we were about to do.

Sydney from our hotel window. Low cloud, it was humid the whole weekend :(

Here I am, looking awesome. I wore a basic outfit for the whole weekend, just a black skirt and shirt. I only had two shirt, and I should have really bought three with me. I have my club outfit in my bag, I think I need to get better luggage for the next time I go somewhere.

Here is the lovely Merissa

Using my trusty phone GPS we set off in search of our friend who was to show us around Sydney.

I really, really love photobooths. We don't have ones like this in Perth

Sadly I lost them! :(
Me and Merissa joked that a cute guy will find them and have an Australia wide hunt for us :P

Merissa found a carousel and just had to ride it! :)

We finally found our friend, Madi, and she let us put our bags where she worked. Can you guess where she works? :P

Merissa bought a pack of cloves because she's awesome. I don't smoke, but cloves are very cool

We went to the Paddington markets

YEAH! I should have bought this.

Me, Madi, and a random chick in the background.

Trains in Sydney have two levels! So strange!

Here is Merissa and Madi

We took the train to Newtown which is the 'arty' section of Sydney. It has hipsters and good shops

People love this part of Sydney because it still has a lot of Victorian buildings around.

We had mexican food for lunch, I've never had mexican takeout before. It was so good!

Visiting some shops, this is a pinup type shop.

I really loved this little case, it was green glitter. Now if the leopard print was a gothy bat print instead.

The famous Gallery Serpentine

This shop was the best decorated shop I've ever seen. There were coffins and skeletons. Sadly most of the items were overpriced and the music section was all metal. Sydney seems to be a metal music town.

This is where we stayed the second and third night. Not as impressive as the Novotel.

We were in Kings Cross, the notorious part of Sydney known for it's crime and prostitutes. We were so tired from walking around all day that it was great to just sit down and do nothing.

On Friday night/Saturday morning some young kids got shot by the police. They were driving a car on the sidewalk and had run over two people. It happened right up our road.
Me and Merissa slept through this!
On Saturday we went with the contestants to the tourist area. They had some professional photos taken while me and Merissa took time out to just look around.
Lots of cute asians were asking us for photos :P

It was so cool to see the Opera House and the bridge. They're such icons of Australia.

This was the view from our hotel room :-/
We were still so tired from walking around that we rested for a few hours back at our room. Merissa had a nap and then tried to plan her music for the competition that night.

The venue was VERY unprepared. They didn't tell Merissa that she was DJing until Friday. Luckily she bought some CDs with her, otherwise we'd be screwed. The venue was not set up when we arrived, and the DJ decks didn't have headphones (The dude was DJing off a ipod, what the hell?)

Merissa was judging the competition, so I got to DJ while the contestants were doing their runway. Yay!

Blurry photo of my outfit.

Lace shirt: From ex-friend
Corset: Minx Corsets
Skirt: random
Boots: Demonia

I had a nice time in Sydney. I don't think it's as great as Perth though. I wish there were some better things to see, along the lines of museums and art galleries.

There were lots of people walking dogs in the city, it was awesome. I love seeing dogs :)
There were lots of stairs too!

Sunday was spent sight seeing at The Rocks. This was the one place I really wanted to see while in Sydney so I was very glad I got to see it.

We were so tired that we went to the airport early and just sat down. I bought a box of Krispy Kreme donuts for my friends in Perth. Krispy Kreme doesn't have any shops in Perth, so everyone is crazy about them (I don't mind them, they just taste like donuts to me).
