Incursion PLUS Extra News

This past weekend was a busy one for me! The club night Incursion finally happened, it went really well! Incursion was a costume party with a military theme, everyone looked great.

I have an online friend, Lana, who flew over with her boyfriend to attend and DJ at Incursion. It was a birthday present for her boyfriend, but they've also never been to Perth. I took the day off Friday to show them around a bit, I took them to Fremantle which I hoped they liked.
On Saturday, we all helped set up the club. Putting up posters and making sure everything looked nice.

Here's what I looked like on Saturday night for Incursion!

Blue makeup! Blue lipbalm by Morgana Cryptoria

Nosechain!

I don't really own anything military themed. I had this military shirt laying around, it had gold buttons so I painted with nailpolish to make them black.
Top: New Look
Corset: Minx Corsetry
Skirt: Yours Clothing
Winklepicker boots: Demonia

Here's what my Sydney friend Lana wore! She looked very nice, and spend a lot of time on her costume.
She had a lot of Nazi imagery, but I hope my readers can understand that she's not a Nazi and it was just a costume.

There was ANNOYING DRAMA caused by people taking offence at some Nazi costumes. The people who complained are known trolls/people who cause trouble. They singled out one of my friends and have started bullying her online. THIS IS NOT OKAY. I have a lot to say about this subject, but I really don't want to write on my blog about that.

Here we are together in a very blurry photo :)

My best friend Merissa DJing.

Me and my friend Jane. She looked so CUTE!!

I hope that my Sydney friend, Lana, enjoyed her stay. I loved meeting her and showing her around Perth. She is really generous and kind, and I can't wait to see her again.

EXTRA NEWS:
My best friend has left Perth :(
Merissa has been planning to move over to the UK for a few months now. Tuesday morning she was flying out, so on Monday night a few of us stayed up all night to be with her. We took her to the airport and said goodbye to her. I cried!! :(
I'm going to miss her so much! I don't know what I'll do without her :(

I hope you'll still be in touch with Merissa, true friendship is hard to break through distance. I really hope for it to last for both of you! ♥

Fantastic outfit; make up, hair, clothes, and all.

I don't much care for Nazi memorabilia, but as you've alluded to, it's not everyone's thing. Though it's another thing completely to hound someone based on their aesthetic choices... I'm sorry your friend has to go through that =S

Your outfit looks killer, like usual! I'm sorry about your friend being bullied online. That's stupid as hell.

Awesome. Everything is awesome.

Wish I could've gone!! And met you :(

But it looks like it would've been a lot of fun and your friends outfit IS amazing.

Am normally more of a lurker on your blog than an actual commenter but felt I should today. People bullying your friend online is not cool and it's a shame she's experiencing that level of trolling BUT personally I think it's really poor taste to wear Nazi memorabilia (themed or authentic). The imagery is too loaded and I think people should be aware that it causes a lot of upset. Nazi history is quite horrific and I can understand why people would have a problem with it. If its a style people like for themed parties then it might be better to indulge in the privacy of your home. That's just my two pence though, I don't expect everyone to agree with me! Xxx

I'm really sorry you're so upset with your friend leaving, you will just have to go visit her and have online chats! *hugs*

All I see your friend wearing is the Totenkopf skulls, she's not wearing a Swastika which I find is much more severe and offensive.
Totenkopf skulls have been around before the Nazis, I just don't think most people understand that, but I know the power behind the symbol. My grandparents were slaves during WWII, so I'm just going to say that I find Nazism to be OK.

Glitterish Allsorts: I don't like Nazi items either, I'm just more angry that people used this instance as a spark to light a trolling fire. I hate people sometimes :(

Meagan: My other friend was wearing a Swastika. It was her choice to wear that, and understands the whole meaning. But I don't appreciate people bullying her (bringing in other items such as her looks/weight). If they have a problem with her outfit, that's cool everyone has an opinion. But it doesn't mean they can bully her.

If people were discussing your friend's weight, looks etc then that is below the belt.
To be honest I think wearing a swastika is disrespectful and asking for trouble. Your friend could be the loveliest person in the world but by wearing such an item she runs the risk of people thinking she aligns herself with a certain way of thinking...even if she were the least likely Nazi sympathiser in the world. I don't understand why people do it, I think I draw the line there xx

First off, jealous of your magnificence. Second, I wanna see a before and after with the hair, too, but only because I like the idea of you being able to raise your crest like a cockatoo, and the photos would help reinforce that notion.
