There was a costume exhibition from the third season which I really wanted to see.
I was the first person there, around 10am I believe.
This is the road towards the main house.
There was a chance to "solve a mystery" so they had these talking Jack displays that gave clues throughout the house.
I'm a big fan of Jack, so it was great hearing his voice randomly ;-)
Items used in filming episodes.
This is the best costume ever, so cute!
This lovely painting was on the bottom floor near the staircase.
This was a "workroom" setup showing how some of the costume items were designed and made.
Vintage dressingroom set.
Great view from the top floor.
There's Melbourne in the distance!
Hugh's guarding the jewelry.
Here is the tea house.
I had some scones and a cup of tea for lunch. Yummy!
After filling up, I went on a walk around the rest of the Estate.
I climbed this lookout to take some nice photographs.
Fans of the show will remember this swimming pool from the end of the first season.
Here's a nice view of the house.
After a lovely morning in Ripponlea, I took the tram back into town to visit the Melbourne Goal.
There were so many death masks, it was great. There was a deathmask in nearly every cell on the lower floor.
Melbourne Goal was where the famous bushranger Ned Kelly was hung, and they also had his death mask!
This little display made me giggle.
"Hey kids, let's learn about execution! YAY!"
I got to have a late afternoon tea with a friend here in this cool laneway.
Onto my flight back home!
I really enjoyed my little trip to Melbourne. A lot of people from Perth move here, and I can see that it would be a nice place to live. There are a lot of interesting places to visit, including museums and art galleries. Not to mention all the yummy food!
Hope you enjoyed seeing some of my photos.

I love MFMM so much. It's just the best sort of eye candy.
