It's that time of year again when I'm working Fringe World Perth. I'm at the box office, selling tickets. There's only one more week to go.
We were given white shirts, which is my worst nightmare. I really don't suit white, so I cut the sleeves and neck off to make it a bit better. I have to always tuck it into a skirt because white makes me look larger than I am.
Good news:
- I've passed my driving test. I now have to do 25 hours of supervised driving before I can get my provisional licence (this means I can drive by myself). I don't have a car yet, so I'm trying to find people who will let me drive with them.
- I passed my trimester unit at university. Now I have to focus on more study this year
- My skeleton, Frederick Bonesworthington, has gone on a little trip. One of my neighbours knocked on my door and asked if they could use him for a medical response course. So Fred will be gone for two weeks, I hope he has fun and comes back in one piece!
Bad news:
- My dad has a blood clot in his leg. The hospital has assured him that they can operate on it, but he has to wait a week before they can do it. Very scary!
- I've been at constant struggle with my mental health, it's been getting worse since December and I feel alone, ugly and unloved.

White shirts are the worst. I don't think I own one.
Hope your dad get better and your moods too. Congrats for the rest!
I look find in white, but t shirts do not suit me at all, they are extremely unflattering on me.
Congratulations on getting your Ps, I hope you can drive on your own soon! And congratulations on uni! I hope everything else will get better for you.
I´m glad to hear you are doing well with your studies! Oh, a blood clot is very scary, I am pretty sure I will have to force something like this one day in the future since that huge blue artery behind my knee looks pretty big :(
I hope you are alright, I wish you not to feel bad thought and get drawn into them, you are beautiful and very very loved! I can guarantee my love even from afar :) hugs!
I agree, white t-shirts are horrible fashion nightmares! But you look lovely pale in it :) I look tanned in white.
I hope your father is ok until he gets help and that he will be fine soon.
I hope that your mental health will be better soon and I hope that the Fringe world will give you some joy.
Interesting that you have to drive supervised after the driving test. In Sweden we drive alone after the last test.
Congrats on passing your driving test and your classes! :-)
Blood clots are always scary! I hope it gets taken care of safely and soon!
It's so difficult to fight those nasty little voices inside us that say we're not good enough or less than. All I can say is, I don't think you are ugly at all, and I reiterate that I wish we lived a LOT closer, because I would love to hang out with you! ::HUGS::
Congrats on your driving test and university success!
My best wishes to your father for a speedy recovery. My dad had a blood clot, and it was indeed very scary. But he got well very quickly after surgery (and was soon back to his cranky self!).
Mental health issues suck. Tell those mean thoughts that you don't have time for their crap. You're too busy being awesome. :D I send you much love from the northern hemisphere!
Hi Natalie, I'm 22 years old and I also have experience with depression. If you ever need someone to talk to, feel free to email me. esferrari9@gmail.com.
Much love,
Elena
I wish I could kill all depression demons with fire. It would be so nice to not have a high that is spoiled by having to look for the low.
Also, remember, eff your beauty standards, world!
I hope your Dad gets on okay! My husband just had blood clot problems and is now on blood thinners for a while. He is very unhappy about this because it means he won't get his newest tattoo. He is hoping he is not on them forever. I hope your Dad did not have a tattoo planned.
