July 23rd I went to Club Unknown. Me and my friends have been craving a night out, as all the Goth clubs in Perth have nearly died. We haven't been dancing in a month. The Amenta were playing, they're a metal band. I really dislike metal, so I was worried I wouldn't enjoy myself.
Basically I didn't enjoy the metal played. It was packed with metal heads, who left straight after the band. Which I think is a bit rude, I mean what else do they have to do on a Saturday night?
Here is what I wore:
My makeup. Not very good, I think I've lost my talent because I haven't done it in so long. I'm also wearing my new MAC Lipstick, in the colour Cyber. Oh, and not forgetting my lovely nose chain!
Sorry about the crappy nail polish! Here is my awesome bell bracelet. I've been trying to find one for ages, and I finally got one in a hippy/gypsy type store in a shopping centre.
Here are the photos taken in the bathroom at Club Unknown. You can tell because of the fog from the smoke machine!
Necklaces: Made by a friend.
Lace top: Op Shop (given to my by an ex-friend)
Corset: Can't remember :(
Skirts: Top layer from Target. The bottom one from a brand called Prude (a one off I think)
Boots: Demonia
After going to Club Unknown I stayed over my friends house and spent the next day with them watching How Clean Is Your House? And screaming whenever they touched dirty stuff with their hands. Seriously, it's brilliant.
Sunday night we went to The Loft, because I was DJing.
I wore my new lace top from New Look. I also used a touch of my MAC lipstick.
I'm standing in my friends bedroom, if you're wondering.
Necklaces: Ebay
Lace shirt: New Look
Singlet: Ebay
Skirt: Prude (this was under my other skirt when going to Club Unknown)
Fishnet top: I made it (going to post a how-to soon)
Boots: Demonia
The next time I get to dress up will be this Friday at Darkwave. Which basically a concert.

Jimmy Deans Diner- Midland
I really need to get a new camera. This one is really crappy. The photo was taken at my friends house, for anyone wondering where I am.
Okay, so yesterday (22nd July) I took my friends out for dinner at Jimmy Deans in Midland. Food was good, service was terrible. We moved tables, and for some reason they kept taking stuff to our old table. When there was no one there. I don't know why they kept doing this, as I told them that we had moved and the girl wrote it down.
I wore my Peter Pan collar dress, and my new tights from We Love Colours. I chose white to go with the dress, but I don't think it suits me as my legs are too chunky. But whatever :P

Wednesday Wants
Deluxe Librarian Action Figure. Archie McPhee $12 USD. I already have the normal Librarian Action Figure, but her 'shushing' action is broken. Plus, this one comes with a computer and lots of books!
Glow in the Dark Zombies Play Set. Archie McPhee $18.95 USD. I'm sadly lacking in a zombie figure collection. Lots of books, but not enough toys.
Bat Hair Clip. Etsy KristinaKreep $5 USD. How awesome is this?
I'm DJing at the Loft this weekend (July 24th). So if I have any Perth stalkers out there, you're welcome to come!

Adam Ant- Stand and Deliver
I was talking the other day with my friend Nikki.
She doesn't know how brilliant/smexy Adam Ant is. So here is his video Stand and Deliver.
Seriously, Adam Ant= Le Smex
Yes, it's 80s. Yes, it's corny. But I love it. I wish he'd tour Australia (and Perth, no one want's to come to Perth)

Demonia Boots Review
I've owned four pairs of Demonia boots. They're a great Gothic boot brand, and I'm super lucky that they can be found in Perth at Red Stripe Clothing. I think the brand is fairly priced, with a set of stompy boots going at around $150. If you look after them, they'll last for a few years.
Demonia runs under the Pleaser company. They started in 1993 as a buyer and seller of fashionable shoes. Over time they came to cater to the Alternative crowd. I've seen this company grow and expand in the last 6 years.
I remember when it used to be really hard to get their shoes, and it used to be VERY expensive. I remember when they created their Victorian style shoe, and I was so happy because it's impossible to find cheaply priced Victorian shoes for my big feet.
My first pair of Demonias I chose was the Riot style
I remember trying to decide what style I wanted from a printed brochure in Mame (the first goth store in Perth, now closed). I also remember I was going to get Demonias because Dr. Marten's were so expensive ($200). I hadn't even heard of New Rocks back then.
I think I mentioned before, my feet are big. I'm a size 10 men's, a size 12 women's. It's really hard to find nice shoes as I don't wear heels, and I look like an idiot in sneakers (I haven't owned a pair since primary school).
These shoes had lots of room in the width, and a good deal of wriggle room for my toes.
It's also hard for larger girls (and even normal girls) to find shoes that can go around their calves. Lucky my calves aren't horrible, and these shoes fit perfectly.
I made sure to take good care of them, spit polishing them to make them all shiny. They lasted for around 3 years, which is great for a pair of boots. And this wasn't like I would wear them only at weekends, these were my everyday shoes. I used to go to Tafe (College) and work in these.
After awhile they were exclusively my work shoes, as the zip broke and the insides were dying. My old job used to consist of standing for 10 hours, so they must of been really comfy for me to survive that.
My boots finally died after getting caught in a storm, and the zip on my other foot broke from getting too wet and sticking (then breaking).
My next pair of boots was from Funtasma range. Which is more costume style shoes. I got the Victorian-120:
When I saw these, I died a little. I've always wanted pointy goth boots ever since seeing the Craft as a little girl (who wouldn't want to be as pretty as Nancy?)
These aren't leather, but PU which is a man made synthetic thing. It just means I can't polish them (well I tried!)
Another thing about these shoes, was that there is no grip on the bottom. I had to go to a cobblers to get them fitted with a half sole. Also, the heel is plastic but that didn't cause any problems.
These were my Goth Club boots, I love the whole 80s Goth thing. It was really hard getting used to a heel, and pointy shoes that pinched my toes. But somehow I managed. My first pair lasted around 2 years.
I took them to the UK with me, where they sadly died. I got a new pair, but I haven't been wearing them recently, as my feet aren't used to pain anymore. Well, they're not really painful, it's just that after dancing for two hours any shoes seem to pinch a bit.
My newest edition is the Brogue-107.
What can I say? They're totally goth. I wore them for the first time yesterday (after taking them to the cobbler to get new soles). They were very comfy, and I danced for about an hour in them. I did get a few blisters on my feet, but all new shoes do that.
I was worried, because when I tried them on in Red Stripe Clothing they wouldn't zip all the way up. So I had to wear the zip about halfway down. While at my friends I noticed I could zip them all the way up, so either my calves relaxed or the shoes did. I'm looking forward to finding out how long these will last. (Update 01/06/14: These shoes are still going strong! I wear them a lot when clubbing, and they haven't broken yet)
I'm planning more purchases from Demonia/Pleaser. I'm a loyal customer, and they keep inventing new awesome shoes!
Cons: I've never brought a pair of platform boots. I've had friends that have. One bad thing is that the platforms seem to break really easy (the bottom coming away from the shoe). I think this might be due to general wear and tear. Goths seem to be vigorous in their dancing, so this might contribute to the shoes breaking.
But overall, it would kinda suck to spend $150 on shoes that break after 5 wears. So hopefully they can look into more durable platforms.

The Loft, 17th July
I was very happy on Sunday because I got to see one of my best friends who has recently returned from Europe (and the Wave Gothik Treffen). We had dinner and went to the Loft together. It's been so long since we've been dancing, there hasn't been much happening lately in Perth.
Here is Stooge, my friends roommates cat. He's very cute, and he was all snugly on the electric blanket. I like him because he wags his tail when he's happy. In this photo he was like "wtf are you doing?"
Here's what I wore! I tried to build my outfit around my new Demonia boots, because I really wanted to wear them. I took them to the cobblers, Demonia's have crappy traction and I don't like slipping and falling over. This outfit also include lots of new clothing!
Cure Shirt: UK Ebay. It's totally impossible to find good/cheap Cure shirts in Australia. This is one of my only white shirts. As you can tell, I'm not a fan of white.
Cardigan: New Look. New clothing!
Skirt: Evans. New! I really love the pleats, but the skirt is a bit sheer.
Tights: We Love Colours (I'm going to do some reviews when I can get some photos)
Boots: Demonia
New necklaces, from Ebay. A long sweater bead necklace, and a rosary necklace. Nice and cheap too!

Online Shipping Times
I finally got my Evans package the other day, I think it was the slowest of the lot.
What really surprised me was that I got my New Look package yesterday, and I only ordered it last Thursday.
So out of three online stores:
Evans was the slowest (I was beginning to worry that it wouldn't arrive)
Yours Clothing was in the middle (Two weeks is average for UK shipping)
New Look was the quickest (Only a week!)
I'm taking photos of my clothes tomorrow, so look forward to that!
p.s. Thanks for all the comments on yesterdays post. I'm feeling a bit better now, but my tummy is still in a knot.

I Live in a World of Shit
Today, a guy decided to throw eggs at me from his car. He missed the first time, so he and his friend drove around the block and hit me again.
I had egg all over me, I got hit so hard I was bleeding. It got all over my new work clothes.
This happened as I was walking from Cannington Shopping Centre to the Cannington Train Station. Only a 10 minute walk. It was 6.20pm, just after dusk. Sadly, I couldn't get the number plate as it was too dark. And they were driving fast.
I was carrying my shopping, and I felt so alone and scared.
I was carrying my shopping, and I felt so alone and scared.
What I want to know is: why me? What have I done that makes it okay to pelt me with eggs. Is it because I'm a fat single white female goth? Was it because I looked happy. Was it because I was alone. Is it because I'm ugly?
Would they do this to an old person? Or a hot young girl? Or a group of men?
Why would anyone think this is funny?
Throwing eggs at a girl, and making her bleed. I hope they get what's coming to them.

Black Plait Detail Dress- Yours Clothing Review
I promised that I'd get photos of all my clothes from Yours Clothing, but sadly my little sister was asleep when I needed her to take the photos. So I'll have to wait till I see her next week.
But I did get a photo of one of the dresses, and a belt. Here is the Black Plait Detail Dress and the Black Heart Double Buckle Stretch Belt
I love this dress. It's made of soft jersey material and it's really comfy. The sleeves are nice and long, and it will be perfect for summer. The length is also good, coming to my knees. I'm very happy with my order from Yours Clothing, I got this on sale with an extra 20% discount that I found.
I didn't really get to accessorise this properly, as I had come straight from work and I needed to get changed quickly to go shopping.
Sorry about the chipped nail polish! This is my favourite belt from my order. I love the buckles, and how it fits really well. I'm so glad I found this style, as I've been wanting one of these since was I young. It's very 80s.
My order from We Love Colors came today!! I got two black tights and one pair of white (to go with my Peter Pan collar dress).
It also came with a cute catalogue, I love how colourful it is! I will review the tights when I wear them. I did try on the white pair, and they're VERY comfy. I'm a bit worried the black pair wont be dark enough, seeing as my favourite tights so far are from Evans. But we'll see.

Wednesday Wants
I came home from a crappy day at work to find PACKAGES! YAY!!! The first one I opened was some cute lightning bold earrings from Ebay. The next was some cosmetics from Mattify! (which I will review). The third was my Yours Clothing purchase.
I couldn't wait to rip into it and see what I everything looked like. I'm very happy with my order, and I'll try to get photos of me wearing it all tomorrow (if I can convince my sister to help).
I just bought some things from New Look's website. They have a small plus-size section, and I've been eyeing off some of their clothes for awhile.
I also just purchased a MAC lipstick off ebay for $25. Much better than the $36 they expect in stores.
For this weeks Wednesday Wants I've been looking at a few coin purses.
Totoro coin purse, $5 from Ebay. I love Totoro, but I'm a bit worried this will become dirty in my bag. I saw some cute sugar skull coin purses too.
Black plain skater tunic. £29.50 Evans. This is an awesome dress for the lazy goth. Just have to pair it with tights, boots, and a ankh. I'm going dress crazy at the moment. Probably because I could never find a dress without it being frumpy and horrible.

The Loft- US Tribute
Last Sunday I got to DJ at the Loft: US Tribute. I was really worried, because all of my music is British post-punk. And I did get in trouble a little bit on the night because I played a few English songs.
Here is what I wore:
Dress: Evans (cheap off UK ebay)
Belt: Evans (cheap off UK ebay)
Cardigan: Target
Tights: Razzamatazz 70 denier from Kmart
Boots: Winklepickers from Underground Shoes
And here is my winter coat! I had to drag it out because it's really chilly now. I haven't worn it since last year in the UK. I purchased the coat from Myer for about $200. I've had it for a while, and it's my only big coat I own. I love the buckles on the wrists and the large collar/lapel.
I was so glad I found this style!
These are the badges on my lapel. David Bowie, Adam Ant, and the crown one I got from Buckingham Palace.
A cute spider headband. I bought from Claire's accessories in the UK. It was part of their Halloween selection but I always buy stuff like this to wear everyday. The spider was originally black, and didn't show up well on the netting and headband so I painted it sliver with nail polish.

Shoes and Stuff
I got these from Target, it's really hard for me to find shoes. I'm a size 12 women's, a size 10 men's. I can fit into a size 11 at Target. I got these on sale (about $25) and they're really comfy. I wore them to work the other day, when it wasn't raining. Plus, I've loved this style of shoe ever since it came into fashion.
Sometimes I have to wait until a style comes into fashion, so I can buy lots of things and wear them when they're out of fashion.
Demonia boots that I had on layby at Red Stripe Clothing FOREVER. Well, only a few months but it felt like forever. I love winklepickers, and these have cute skull buckles. The only thing is I need to get the soles re-done at a cobblers, as they don't have any grip. I really don't want to slide around while dancing.
It's funny because one of my friends purchased some shoes like this in Germany, but with a heel on them. What can I say, but great minds think alike?
I basically got this because I need a new perfume but I hate going to a perfume counter. I don't know what I want, and I really just want to find the PERFECT scent that everyone will instantly recognise as me.
This mini-perfume sample comes from Lush (I don't usually buy stuff from there as it's expensive, and it feels kinda like they're always patting themselves on the back for doing handmade/organic/hippy type stuff).
Anyway, the package is cute. AND I GOT FREE STUFF!!
FREE STUFF!! I've never got free stuff when I've ordered something on the Internet. In my box, I got a shower gel, face scrub, and moisturiser (for boobies, you guys at Lush trying to tell me something?)
And I got a cute eye hair clip while picking up my shoes from Red Stripe Clothing.
Ironfist Zombie Handbag Review
I got my handbag!!! YAY! It's really nice! I paid $60aud from the Australian Ironfist website. With free shipping around Australia. This handbag also comes in the werewolf design, but I'm a zombie girl.
My first thought was how nice and roomy it is. This is my first handbag, so I was worried about how it would fit on my arm and if it would look good. I'm so used to satchel bags.
It fits great on my shoulder, it doesn't get in the way. I also found that I could wear it on my arm without it looking awkward.
I loved the cute bows, and the front zippers were actually pockets. I thought the zippers might be just there to look pretty. The colour is nice and bright, and the zombie face is my favourite design.
It also came with a shoulder strap that you could put on. I had to stop myself doing that, because I already have too many shoulder bags.
The back of the bag is black PVC and this inside it fabric. The bag has nice padding on the inside, and it seems really well constructed.
