The Loft, 17th July

I was very happy on Sunday because I got to see one of my best friends who has recently returned from Europe (and the Wave Gothik Treffen). We had dinner and went to the Loft together. It's been so long since we've been dancing, there hasn't been much happening lately in Perth.

Here is Stooge, my friends roommates cat. He's very cute, and he was all snugly on the electric blanket. I like him because he wags his tail when he's happy. In this photo he was like "wtf are you doing?"

Here's what I wore! I tried to build my outfit around my new Demonia boots, because I really wanted to wear them. I took them to the cobblers, Demonia's have crappy traction and I don't like slipping and falling over. This outfit also include lots of new clothing!

Cure Shirt: UK Ebay. It's totally impossible to find good/cheap Cure shirts in Australia. This is one of my only white shirts. As you can tell, I'm not a fan of white.
Cardigan: New Look. New clothing!
Skirt: Evans. New! I really love the pleats, but the skirt is a bit sheer.
Tights: We Love Colours (I'm going to do some reviews when I can get some photos)
Boots: Demonia

New necklaces, from Ebay. A long sweater bead necklace, and a rosary necklace. Nice and cheap too!

Wednesday Wants

The Gary Numan concert was great!! I will do a future Wednesday Wants on new wave style clothes. I'm feeling a bit lazy at the moment.
Also, sorry some of the pictures are small. I couldn't figure out how to get a good capture without having to edit it.

Inspire Ladder Knit Tunic, £16.99. New Look clothing. It's finally getting cold here in Perth. The evenings are nice and chilly, and I actually wore my cardigan the other day. I can imagine wearing this with a long sleeved black top and either skirt or pants. I don't wear pants often, so it's a bit strange thinking about it.

Gothic Lolita double frill skirt, £89. Dracinabox clothing. I need a fluffy twirly skirt, and I'm too damn lazy to make one.

Haunted Windows Gothic Pyjamas, £69. Dracinabox clothing. Whenever I go into Big W, Kmart, or Target I have a look at the pyjamas. Hoping to find a pair of black or gothy PJ bottoms. No such luck yet, and this pair is way too expensive. But the Robert Smith model is cute!

Ruffle Edge Longline Cardi, $69.95. City Chic. WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE SO EXPENSIVE!?!? WHYYYYYY???

DIY Badges

If, like me, you enjoy listening to obscure music you will find it hard to find cheap band merchandise. So, I always try to make my own. Badges are really easy to customise, and I'll show you how. You get to put any image you want on the badge, and it's a unique craft that no one else will have.

Items you need:
- Badges you no longer want. Can be old badges from a band you don't like, or buy a pack of crappy ones from a local $2 store. I got a pack of crappy Twilight related badges from the $2 Store. I'm planning on making a bunch of different badges. Also, I really dislike Twilight.
- Mod Podge. You can get this from a craft store. In Australia I got mine at Spotlight. It's used to stick, and seal items.
- Image you want on badge. Print one out from your computer. I usually measure the badge, then create a template in a art program then edit the image I want to it fits. Or you can just wing it and get any small image and cut it out.
- Obvious things like scissors and a paint brush. You should have these laying around like I do.

Step One: Cut out the image you want and make sure it fits badge. I have a bunch of Robert Smith images, so I cut out one to use as a badge.

Step Two: Take your paintbrush and Mod Podge. Use a little Mod Podge on the surface of the badge and stick the image to it. If you don't know how to glue an item to another item, then you're an idiot. Also paint a layer of Mod Podge over the top of the image. Make sure there is no wrinkles. Leave the badge somewhere to dry.

Step Three: Once dry, do another coat of Mod Podge over the badge. Make sure edges are glued down properly. Leave to dry again.

Now you have your very own awesome badge. This is seriously the most easiest craft project ever. Low cost, with a unique item at the end. So far I've made a Bauhaus, and David Bowie badge. I was planning on making a YouTube tutorial for this too, but it'll have to wait.
Go forth and craft!
