Wednesday Wants: Cat Coven

Cat Coven features a whole bunch of witchy designs on t-shirts, pins and patches.
What I love most about this shop is that it's very affordable, and the items are handmade. The shop is run by one woman, Kjersti, who describes her images as influenced by her interest in the occult, feminism, cats and heathenism. My type of girl!!

I already have a "Creature of the Night" ladies shirt with a fantastic bat print on it.
I hope to purchase some more items in the future, but for now I hope you'll indulge my little wishlist. Perhaps you'll find something you like, and purchase something to support small business :)

I don't have any feminist shirts at the moment, but I would really love one of these. Feminist forever!

I really love this print.

They also have Coffee versions available!

Wednesday Wants

I've had my eye on a certain ebay store since the first time I started buying things online.

punkstuff/Hanger 19 offers a bunch of horror, goth, punk, and metal related items. They sell shirts, hoodies, and bags. I've always been partial to the bags, but they cost around $32 (including shipping to Australia) and I can't choose which one I like best! I'm leaning towards the bat skeleton print. Which do you like?

Wednesday Wants

(It's actually Thursday in Australia)

My friend brought to my attention this new handbag by Banned. It also comes in purple.
I love the spiderwebs and bats. I'm not a handbag type of person, because I think I'm too butch for them. This handbag is cute, I wish I knew if it was big or small.

Wednesday Wants

Ax Paris Sequin Bodycon Dress from Simply Be: $105
I've seen this dress on a few ladies online, and it looks fabulous! I want to be a mermaid too!! But too expensive for me and I'm not sure how often I would wear something like this (even if it matches my hair perfectly)

Clueless Witch Collection by Lime Crime: $20 each (collection comes out later in March 2014)
I have a love/hate relationship with Lime Crime. I love their eyeshadow primer, I love 'Red Velvet' Velvetine lipstick. But Lime Crime does have a lot of controversy attached to it.
I really want these lipsticks though. I bought Red Velvet a while ago and it looks amazing (dries matte and stays on for ages). I have my eye on wicked and black velvet, I'm not sure I would suit the brown coloured 'salem'. Hopefully there is a plum colour in the works, because that colour suits me the best.

Do you have a love/hate relationship with any products?

Wednesday Wants

Pointed buckle creepers from TUK.
I can't seem to find these in Australia. They are available on the Hot Topic website in America, but Hot Topic/Torrid are HORRIBLE regarding ordering and shipping to Australia.
Meagan at Coffin Kitsch bought a pair. She always looks cute.

Lacy Audrey dress from City Chic: $179.95
Who the HELL is crazy enough to pay $179.95 for a dress?! Another reason why I wait for sales at City Chic.

Much more affordable Freddy Dress from Hell Bunny.
I want to get lots of summer dresses so I can be cute and cool this summer.

Wednesday Wants

I want so many books!! That's probaly the worst thing about being a book lover, they're so expensive and I want heaps of them! Most of these will cost around $30 for me to buy, darn expensive Australian shipping. I love strange/obscene books, so sorry if you don't like the following.

Death Scenes. This is a book with photos from crime scenes.

Mutter Museum Historic Medical Photographs. Photographs from the Mutter Museum, if I can't go then I might as well buy a book about it.

The Empire of Death. I would love to visit a church made of bones. I think I'm going to visit the one in Rome when I go to Europe

I would LOVE a Toshio Saeki book, but they're really hard to find cheap. He creates traditional Japanese art, but with really strange subjects. Usually erotic and horror related.

Wednesday Wants

I haven't done this in so long, but there are a few things that I would really like to have.

First is a t-shirt by Mishka.

The Queen tee by Mishka

I CAN'T FIND THIS ANYWHERE!!! It's sold out all over the interenet, and the only place it's available is on a Japanese website (that I can't understand) and a Thai website (that I've emailed, but they haven't got back to me). I also emailed Mishka to see if there was any still available, no luck :(
I really, really, really want this shirt. If anyone has leads please tell me!

£35.00

So expensive, but so cute. I'm thinking about buying this with my next pay.

Wednesday Wants

I haven't done this in ages. Luckily I've found some stuff that I'd like to have, but I'm too poor to buy it.

First off, I have some great news. Adam Ant is coming to Perth!!!! I finally get to see him, I'm so excited. Adam Ant is one of those people I thought I'd never see in concert.

PVC Corset, Renaissance Cloth. I already have a PVC under bust corset but I'd love one with buckles. The metal rings on the side are awesome too.

Jersey Body with Mesh Shoulders, Asos Curve £25.00. The fishnet insert looks awesome! I'm not sure this will suit me though.

Coventry, Fluevog $335usd. I really, really want these shoes. Me and my friend are planning to go to Wave-Gotik-Treffen next year and I need some Goth walking shoes. Does anyone have these shoes, or do you know if Fluevogs are comfortable?
I'll also be visiting my family in Leicester and sightseeing in Europe, if you'd like me to visit you drop me a line! :)

Do you have any ideas for really comfortable Goth shoes? Tell me in the comments

Birthday Wishlist

My birthday is this week on Thursday (10th of November)
I'm turning 22. I'm the youngest out of my group of friends, and one of my best friends affectionately calls me 'sprout' (I'm tall than all of them, so it makes me laugh)

Here is a little wishlist:

Cute skull and bat lace curtain. I've noticed they're mainly available in America, those lucky sods.

A David Bowie 'read' poster. Or even better, a David Bowie lifesize cut-out!! (A girl can dream)

A bat t-shirt. Black with grey bats. I really don't suit white.
Although this guy is pretty cute :P

Zombie head cookie jar, from Think Geek.

A Soo Catwoman t-shirt, also in black (I don't know why they don't have black ones on the website, I emailed them but they haven't got back)
(Also, this dude is also pretty cute. What's with cute boys in t-shirts? Probably there just to make me buy them)

But most of all, I'd like to just spend some time with my friends. I love hanging out with them, and they're more like a family than my real family is.

Wednesday Wants

Okay, so I thought of a few Wants for this week. Basically I'll be doing it when I can find enough items.

First off, I just bought a crap load of stuff from Torrid. They had all these belts, and I couldn't resist. Plus this:

Day of the Dead Cardigan. Torrid, $38.50. I totally bought this. They didn't have my size, so I got one up from that. I can just tailor it if I find it's too loose.

Bird skull necklace. Ebay, $16aud. Have I already featured one of these? I can't remember, but I really love these. I think I will buy this one, seeing as it's a good price.

Evans Diamante Swimsuit. Evans, £32.00. It's currently spring here in Australia. Days are usually around 23 degrees C. but a few days ago it was 35 degrees. That's what it usually is in summer, all the time :(
I basically died, I really dislike summer. But it made me think of swimming and eating icey poles. This is the only swimsuit I could find that I really liked.

Lazy News

I've been thinking to change a weekly 'Wednesday Wants' to monthly, because I'm seriously running out of cool things :(
Hope you guys can forgive me.

Recently I've been very busy with work. I haven't been taking photos of my outfits, because they're pretty boring at the moment. Here are some from a shopping trip from a few weeks ago (I'm waaay behind, I know)

Here's me with me shopping at my feet. I think I bought soft drink and chocolate for a movie night.

I'm wearing:
Sunglasses: $3 from Op Shop
Rocky Horror Shirt: From Perth store (I can't remember where, but it was really expensive and I only bought it because I had a gift voucher)
Skirt: Op Shop
Tights: Either Evans or We Love Colors
Winklepickers: Underground Shoes
Bag: Ironfist

My necklaces are:
A ribbon I always wear as a choker
A bat necklace I made from a Halloween decoration
Rosary from New Norcia

The Rocky Horror Picture Show shirt is a really light cotton. Great for summer. I've recently cut the neck out, as it was losing it's shape.

My friend found these in the Op Shop for $2!! She was kind enough to go halves with me.

Wednesday Wants

Yes, I'm late again. I've been reading a book instead of going online to update this blog. So here I am now, doing it at work. Making sure I don't get seen.

Black Stud Punk Rock Gothic Tote Shoulder Bag. Ebay, $32.99usd. I've told you that my Ironfist Zombie bag is dying, so I was thinking about buying one of these as a replacement. Or I'll just get another Ironfist bag.

Black Crochet Cover Up. Yours Clothing, £28.00. I'm a fan of these lace and crochet cover ups. I've realised how awesome they looks teamed up with my lace shirts. Sadly this one has an ugly flower right in the middle of it.

Wednesday Wants and What I Wore

Yes! I combined Wednesday Wants and What I Wore, because I'm lazy. I've had a crappy cold recently. Actually, it's not been the worst cold I've had and I'm very lucky that I only get about three or four a year.

Two things that I want this week:
Evans black spot mesh tunic. Evans, £29.50. Very cute, there are lots of tunics on Evans at the moment and I wonder if they're long enough for me to wear as a dress. Seeing as I'm tall, I don't think it'll work :P

Evans black lace prom dress. Evans, £49.50. Why can't they put sleeves on it? It would be so much nicer if it had some pretty sleeves. I also think it would be better to have a mannequin that actually has boobs, so we can see what it would look like.

Now onto what I wore!
I think I mentioned going to Devilles in Perth on Friday. They had a one off night called 'Batcave' and Goths got in free! With the promise of traditional Goth music, how could I pass it up? Here's what I wore:
I think my outfit turned out really nice!!
Lace undershirt: from an ex-friend
Black top: from Camden markets in the UK (£10)
Corset: Minx corsetry
Skirt: New! From Ebay (America)
Tights: We Love Colors
Boots: Demonia
Bangles: Evans
Fan: Fremantle E-Shed Markets
Necklace: Rosary (from New Norcia) Velvet choker (Ebay UK)

Yes, a new skirt. I wore it to work once, but I think it works much better as a going out goth skirt. It's a fine mesh in panels with a black underskirt, it's really swishy when I dance.

This is one of my best friends. We've always planned to shave our heads together and she took the plunge before me! So I had to catch up and do mine too. We freshly shaved our heads before going out :P it's nice that I can do that with a friend. She's seriously le smex, and she's my role model!

You can see our shaved noggins' here.

Here is a bit of a closeup of my makeup. Taken on my phone, I really love the effects as you can tell. You can better see my choker which has a spiderweb pendant. I made this nose chain myself.
I was a bit disappointed by the event. There was not enough Goth music, and they only played the popular stuff. My and my friend played 'spot the flannel shirt' because this club lets in lots of normal people.

Here is what I wore to the Loft on Sunday the 11th:
You might notice the hair colour change! My friends came over on Saturday and we bleached/dyed my hair to a darker green. It's turned out pretty well.
Dress: City Chic
Fishnet top: DIY
Necklaces: Long beads (Ebay) Batnecklace (Halloween bin)
Belt: Yours Clothing
Bag: Ironfist
Tights: We Love Colors
Shoes: Underground Boots

This dress has pockets! I'm not actually a fan of how it looks, but I do know my arse looks good in it.

I will be doing a review of Undergound Shoes because I have two pairs of them now. I have four pairs of winklepickers now :P
In this photo you can also see the comfort shorts I wear, which I get from Evans. I seriously love them and I've bought 5 pairs while they were in stock/season.

 Nix and Me.

Taken on my spiffy phone. I was very lazy with makeup. Just foundation, eyeliner and shadow. You can also see how my hair is darker.
