Lazy Fremantle Sunday

Last Sunday, my two little sisters and I headed to Fremantle. I wanted to get some more incense (8 for $5) we also checked out some second hand stores and had lunch. It was a warm sunny day, but there was a nice breeze coming from the ocean.

Me and my youngest sister, Heather

My clothes:
Dress: Evans
Tights: We Love Colors
Winklepickers: Underground Shoes

We also took photos at Timezone!

After Fremantle we headed back to my apartment to dye Heathers hair from orange to blonde. It turned out really well!
I had a lovely time with my sisters, it's great catching up with them and having a laugh.

Fremantle Maritime Museum

On Sunday 22nd of July I visited the Fremantle Maritime Museum with my sister Kirsty. It has taken me a very long time to actually visit the new museum, which was built a few years ago. I guess because it costs $10 to get in, admission is usually free at museums and art galleries. It was also a chance for us to visit Megamouth. The Megamouth was our favourite part of the Perth museum when we were kids, and now it's moved to the Fremantle Museum.

The weather was very nice, it was sunny and I actually had to take my cardigan off because it got too hot. I love sunny winters.

There are lots of photos, sorry if it loads slowly.

I wore my new Bauhaus shirt.

Kirsty wore her Princess Bride shirt I got her for christmas. It says "inconceivable" with a picture of Vizzini's head.

Here is the front of the museum

Kirsty's looking at the creepy child statues.

Sad and creepy.

This was suppose to show how hard it was to churn butter, but it didn't work.

Kirsty lifting some bricks.

This showed the what work some men used to do back in the day.

Child's gas mask, from the UK

This part was suppose to show an old merchant town. There were a few spooky bodyless mannequins. Kirsty lifted the lid of this chest and got scared when the mannequin started to speak! It was funny because there were some people behind us, who probably thought we were strange girls.

Some pretty necklaces and jewelry.

Try on the chains? Don't mind if I do!

Kirsty trying some grinding.

Here's our friend the Megamouth!!

Best friends forever!

It's a pretty awesome tank, but I wish we could see him better.

We turned the corner to find this car! It was bouncing up and down, which made us laugh lots.

There was a Black Sabbath sticker on the other side, and drugs inside! Along with a fake fur interior.

Australia coathanger.

The docked submarine outside. There is a tour that goes inside, but we didn't have enough time (plus you had to pay more money)

The best part of the museum was a fake submarine room, with a working periscope! It went out the top of the building and it gave a view of Fremantle

Kirsty had squid, I had fish and chips.
We also went to the markets, where I found my friend a birthday present.

Kirsty went to a piercing place to get a smaller bar for her industrial ear piercing. The piercer was really creepy. He kept asking me where I got my piercings from, and commenting about how they were badly done. Then he touched my face without my permission, so see the piercings better!!! It was so strange. I hated that he implied that my piercer was crap. It really pissed me off.

It was a great day overall, it was so nice being able to hang out with my little sister. We didn't run out of things to chat about, and we were very tired by the end of the day.

Perth Megamouth

Take a look at this awesome video about moving the Perth Megamouth. I always loved visiting the Megamouth when I was a kid, and I was sad to see it had moved (I didn't know where).
But now it's in Fremantle! Sadly the Fremantle Maritime Museum cost money to get into :( it's only $10 but it's still strange having to pay to get into a museum (I usually donate a few dollars when I go inside a museum anyway)

There used to be a HUGE whale skeleton in the old Perth Museum, but it's been put into storage until they can build another building. I can't wait to see the whale skeleton again, it was my favourite when I was a kid.

Oh, Fremantle!

I love Fremantle so much, it's very beautiful. People always complain how Perth is 'boring', but I love Perth. People don't realise that every city is basically the same. You have to find the good points.

I went to Fremantle on Sunday (27th May) with my best friend Hayley and her girlfriend Kylie. We went to check out the vintage markets that were on due to the Perth Burlesque Festival. There wasn't really anything good, but they were offering free hair styling so Kylie got some pretty victory rolls.

We did the usual lap around Fremantle. I bought some Scottish Tablet and stocked up on incense (8 for $5!)
We took some photos at Timezone and got icecream :)

My hair looks crazy bright in the sun. I have no idea why.

Skirt: Evans
Pussybow shirt: Target
Tights: Kmart
Winklepickers: Demonia

Here is Kylie and my best friend Haze!

Oh yeah!

We caught the sunset on the way home :)

The Epic Belt

Today me and my friend Dani went to Fremantle to go shopping.
This is the outfit I will most likely wear to see Sisters of Mercy in March.

Siouxsie Shirt: Internet
Belt: Ebay
Skirt: City Chic
Tights: Random cut up ones
Boots: Dr. Marten

I also want to tell you about this amazing belt that I bought off ebay. It cost around $50 aud (plus postage) from the store Monkey Brainstorm. I'm such a bargain hunter that I was so happy to see affordable belts online. If I got this made in Perth it would cost a fortune.

The belt only came up to a size 44 (I think) so I messaged the seller to see if they could make a custom size for my fat arse. To my surprise the seller said they could make my size FOR NO EXTRA COST!!!
SO AWESOME!!!
This is a seriously great quality handmade belt. I have never seen anything like this in Perth. Everyone is super jealous. So check out the Ebay store, it's seriously brilliant.
Dani recently got cheek piercings which look uber cute.
I got this awesome bat necklace.

Scottish Tablet, the yummiest thing in the world. (It's the best when it's handmade)

I also stocked up on my incense. 8 for $5!

On Thursday I went shopping with my friend, I bought a lot of junk because I had extra pay.
I got these because I would like to try wearing nice eyelashes when I go clubbing.
Pin-up socks!

I got some nail polish from the cheap cosmetic brand BYS. I buy most of my nail polish from them. I was so excited about the Quake (crackle) nail polish. I put on two coats of the UV colour then Quake over the top. It turned out really crap though, I was very disappointed. It just looked like I was wearing cheap streaky nail polish.

I've heard good things about OPI shatter polish, but we don't get that brand in Australia (at least I don't think we do)

Fremantle with Dani

Me and my friend Dani went to Fremantle on the 3rd. Fremantle is less than an hour away from Perth, and I love it. It's full of historical buildings from when Perth was a colonial town. It's a harbour town, right next to the beach. Cruise ships and Army ships regularly dock there.
There is a lot of limestone there, and many of the buildings were built using convict labour.

We caught the train, which takes about an hour. The Fremantle train line goes past Karrakatta Cemetery, so there's always something to look out for :P Also there's a lot of photos, so it might take awhile to load.

Here is my pretty friend, Dani.

On the train, looking at the ocean.

When I was a kid I always thought this was a rocking horse.

The harbour at Fremantle, where there are heaps of ships. It's always fun to go over here on the train.
Super hungry, so we got food straight away. Nom nom nom.
We headed over to the Fremantle markets, which are my favourite markets in the Perth area.

Here they sell heaps of stuff. I mainly get Scottish Tablet, which is so yummy. It's handmade and I can only find it in Freo.
Plus the cheap incense. I love incense, but if I burn too much I get a sore throat :P
I also got some Lavender oil for my oil burner. I really, really love Lavender.

Me and Dani always go to Timezone to get our photo taken. My room is full of these photos of us.
In these, my hair blended into the background because of the green screen :P

Timezone is a arcade full of games. You put money on your Timezone card and play whichever games you want. You can earn points to buy prizes. I only have a Timezone card for photobooths, so I was surprised to find I had enough points to get these disco balls. One for Dani and one for me.
I actually only had enough points for one ball, but the dude behind the counter was really nice and gave me one for free!
Oh yeah, and I put my hair in a mohawk ^_^

Dani in a shop. On a quest to find her new ear plugs. Look at all the overpriced shirts!

We were both laughing at the mass produced/overpriced 'Goth' stuff.

Here is what I wore! Dani kept taking angled shots, so it's not my fault!
Cardigan: New Look (Inspire)
Zombie Shirt: Shop in Manchester (UK)
Skirt: Op Shop ($3)
Tights: We Love Colors
Boots: Dr. Marten
Zombie Bag: Iron Fist.
Rosary necklace: $2 shop (ages ago)

I have no idea what clothes Dani wore.

I think my hohawk turned out okay. I was going to do a death hawk, but I really wanted to try a mohawk for once.

The Fremantle City Hall. I've always loved the freaky looking swan statues on the building.

We went to Dome for dessert. Here is Dani's Demonia coffin bag.

Dani, dreading the task ahead.

Nom nom nom. I had a cup of tea and a bit of cake. Dani had a iced chocolate.

On the train home, we were so tired.

Also, Dani found some good ear plugs!
