Perth Tattoo Expo 2013

I visited the Perth Tattoo Expo on Sunday with Haze and her girlfriend Kylie.
My mood has not improved, in fact it has got worse :(

Shirt: Ebay
Skirt: Asos Curve
Winklepickers: Underground Shoes

Most of the tattoo parlors in Australia are owned by bikers, so the expo was full of bogans with mullets and sun damaged tattoos. I did see my tattoo artist, Josh, at his booth. I talked about wanting a David Bowie tattoo, my next appointment is near Christmas.

My Week In Clothes

I feel terrible that I can't post heaps of new clothing posts. So I decided to take a bunch of photos of the clothes that I wear to work. These were taken in the bathroom :)

MONDAY 10th Dec
Top: BeMe
Skirt: Op Shop
Tights: We Love Colors
Boots: Dr. Marten

I wear reading glasses, because I have bad eyesight and work on a computer all day. I basically wear them all of the time, apart from when I'm going out. Most of the other photos in this post were taken before I got to put on my glasses.

TUESDAY 11th Dec
Top: ? Plain black t-shirt
Skirt: Big W
Tights: We Love Colors
Shoes: Rivers

I wear socks over my tights so that I don't get hurty feet. Haha :)

WEDNESDAY 12th Dec
Wednesday was our xmas lunch! We went to a hotel for a buffet (yum!)
Cardigan: Target
Dress: Sourpuss (I wish it was one size larger, they stop at 2XL. Note to Sourpuss, make 3XL and I'll buy all of your clothes)
Tights: We Love Colors
Winklepickers: Pennangalan

I really loved the dress design. I wore cobweb earrngs, bat necklace and eyeball hairclip.
I got a skull in my secret santa present, they know me too well!

THURSDAY 13th Dec
Shirt: From Franny in New York!
Skirt: Big W
Tights: We Love Colors
Boots: Ebay

FRIDAY 14th Dec
Top: ? Maybe Big W
Skirt: Evans
Tights: We Love Colors
Boots: Dr. Martens

The thing I wear most seems to be my tights from We Love Colors. Mainly because these are long lasting plus sized tights that don't get ladders in them.

Here is a bonus photo of me with giant teeth on my head!

And the sunset from the Rooftop Movies in Perth

Cross Stitch My Heart

I went out last week to karaoke. I sang "Rebel Rebel" by David Bowie. Apparently I was okay!

Looking very plain and simple (to me anyway)
I'm Fat, Let's Party shirt: Seibei
Cotton biker jacket: Ebay
Skirt: Big W
Tights: We Love Colors
Boots: Dr Martens

It was both of my coworkers birthdays today. We work in a team of three, and they really help me along in my job. One of them was turning 50, so it was a big deal. I decorated her table, with the help of my other coworker. I organised a lunch at the University tavern for the whole group. I also baked a HUGE amount of my brownies.

Her desk after we were finished! I photoshopped her head onto a Sookie and Eric picture from True Blood (I don't watch the series)

My presents to them were a box of brownies each, and a cross stitch!
Game of Thrones dragon cross stitch for my coworker turning 50. I did the dragon green because I wanted to keep it like Daenerys Targaryen's dragons.

I made this for my other coworker, he is a nerd and has a man crush on Robert Downey Jr.

What was really nice is that they got me a box of chocolates!! I don't know why, but they said that they knew I was going all out for their birthday and that I deserved something.

A Week Behind

I had a pretty busy weekend, last weekend. Yes, I'm a week behind in my blogging. What can I say? I'm lazy :P

On Satuday 23rd I went to see A Royal Affair with my friend Merissa. The film is about the Danish royal family in the 18th Century. I love historical movies, and Merissa and me always go to see them together. The cinema was packed with what Merissa calls the 'Blue Rinse Brigade', all the old ladies going to see the film. Me and Merissa were the youngest there :P
The film was great! Costumes and settings were lovely. I would totally go and watch it again.

I wore:
Sisters of Mercy Shirt: Ebay
Skirt: Big W
Tights: Kmart
Winklepickers: Demonia (the heel fell off, again! I might write and angry letter to demonia)
Cotton biker jacket: Ebay (studded by myself!)

Later that night I went to a 'reunion' type of night that was for all the older alternative types to get together. That didn't stop me going! I was a bit over-dressed though, but I guess it's better to be over-dressed intead of under-dressed.
A irish guy complemented me on my hawk. He then asked me what type of music I'd like to have played, I quickly searched my brain for a really obsure goth band :P
"definatly Danse Society" I said, sipping my lemonade.

Check out my cute bat hairclip. I got it from etsy!

Please excuse creepy glowing eyes.

Specimen shirt: From their gig I saw in London 2010
Corset: ebay
Epic belt: ebay
Skirt: Yours Clothing
Winklepickers: Demonia

The next day I walked to a retro/vintage market that was being held in the next suburb. I underestimated how long it would take to walk there, so it took an hour both ways. Well, at least I like walking! :P
I bought two records, Bowie and Adam Ant. I'm trying to start to collect records, I've always loved records but I've never been in the position to buy any. Sadly all of my favourite bands are really hard to find, I'm not going to find a Red Lorry Yellow Lorry album easily!! I think that's where the internet comes in. If you have old goth records you don't want, give me a yell. I'll buy some! :)

On Sunday evening I headed off to The Loft. It was their 2nd birthday celebration, sadly I didn't get to DJ :(
I left my hawk up from the night before, too much effort to wash it out and put it back up again.

I wore a super cute dress that I got at City Chic on sale. The dress is really ugly and square on the hanger, but it looks curvy and brilliant when I wear it.
I had to wear my other demonia winklepickers because my favourite ones broke again :(

Again, sorry for any spelling mistakes. Spell check isn't working again, damn Blogger.

Sad news, I won't be able to DJ for a while. The Loft isn't running weekly, and The Crypt has to find a new venue. I'm really sad, as I love to play music and make people dance.

Work Clothes

I'm very lucky enough to work in a job where they don't care what I wear. I still wear clothes that are office appropriate, and I feel really strange when I go casual. My makeup is very plain (for me). I wear my foundation, powder, liquid eyeline, eyeshadow. I colour my eyebrows in with black liner pencil (only because my eyebrows are very light)

Here is my outfit from Monday:

Very casual. About as casual as I will go. Can you believe I got this Bauhaus shirt for $2 on ebay?
I'm wearing a pencil skirt from City Chic and patent leather boots from ebay ($40)
Also, my arse looks great in this skirt.

Here's my outfit for today (Tuesday):

Usually I wear my tops over my skirts, but I thought I would try tucking with a belt. I love this shirt, which I got from Target. They had it in red and I was sad that they didn't have black, then I was browsing through the shirts and found a black one!! I was so happy! It has lace on the shoulders and part of the back, so my tattoos peek out. I also love the pussy bow (don't you love saying that word?)
The skirt is from Evans, fishnets from Kmart and boots are Dr. Martens

The strangest thing though, is that I didn't get to wear this outfit to work! I got to the train station and there were no trains running. I waited around for an hour and a half and there was an announcement saying that trains on all lines were delayed or cancelled. There were bus replacements, but I can imagine that being a nightmare. So I called in sick :P
Instead I went to get some groceries and had a hot chocolate and Tim Tam cake. I came home and made a meal in my slow cooker and painted my nails. Good day overall.
I feel sorry for the people stuck in the trains.

Different Outfits

Here are two of my outfits I wore recently:

Return of the Living Dead Shirt: Ebay
Skirt: Ebay
Boots: Dr. Marten
Bag: Iron Fist

Here I am at the Hyde Park Fair with some ponies!

Night of the Living Dead shirt: Comic book shop
Skirt: City Chic
Tights: DIY
Boots: Dr. Marten

I recently found some skeletons in the collection at my work :)

FYI, these aren't my hands. They belong to my coworker.

In other news, I'm getting really annoyed at the TV series The Walking Dead. So much different from the comics. I wish Andrea was as strong as she is in the books, she's my favourite character but they made her a whingey horrible person in the show :(

The Epic Belt

Today me and my friend Dani went to Fremantle to go shopping.
This is the outfit I will most likely wear to see Sisters of Mercy in March.

Siouxsie Shirt: Internet
Belt: Ebay
Skirt: City Chic
Tights: Random cut up ones
Boots: Dr. Marten

I also want to tell you about this amazing belt that I bought off ebay. It cost around $50 aud (plus postage) from the store Monkey Brainstorm. I'm such a bargain hunter that I was so happy to see affordable belts online. If I got this made in Perth it would cost a fortune.

The belt only came up to a size 44 (I think) so I messaged the seller to see if they could make a custom size for my fat arse. To my surprise the seller said they could make my size FOR NO EXTRA COST!!!
SO AWESOME!!!
This is a seriously great quality handmade belt. I have never seen anything like this in Perth. Everyone is super jealous. So check out the Ebay store, it's seriously brilliant.
Dani recently got cheek piercings which look uber cute.
I got this awesome bat necklace.

Scottish Tablet, the yummiest thing in the world. (It's the best when it's handmade)

I also stocked up on my incense. 8 for $5!

On Thursday I went shopping with my friend, I bought a lot of junk because I had extra pay.
I got these because I would like to try wearing nice eyelashes when I go clubbing.
Pin-up socks!

I got some nail polish from the cheap cosmetic brand BYS. I buy most of my nail polish from them. I was so excited about the Quake (crackle) nail polish. I put on two coats of the UV colour then Quake over the top. It turned out really crap though, I was very disappointed. It just looked like I was wearing cheap streaky nail polish.

I've heard good things about OPI shatter polish, but we don't get that brand in Australia (at least I don't think we do)

Wednesday Wants

I haven't done this in ages. Luckily I've found some stuff that I'd like to have, but I'm too poor to buy it.

First off, I have some great news. Adam Ant is coming to Perth!!!! I finally get to see him, I'm so excited. Adam Ant is one of those people I thought I'd never see in concert.

PVC Corset, Renaissance Cloth. I already have a PVC under bust corset but I'd love one with buckles. The metal rings on the side are awesome too.

Jersey Body with Mesh Shoulders, Asos Curve £25.00. The fishnet insert looks awesome! I'm not sure this will suit me though.

Coventry, Fluevog $335usd. I really, really want these shoes. Me and my friend are planning to go to Wave-Gotik-Treffen next year and I need some Goth walking shoes. Does anyone have these shoes, or do you know if Fluevogs are comfortable?
I'll also be visiting my family in Leicester and sightseeing in Europe, if you'd like me to visit you drop me a line! :)

Do you have any ideas for really comfortable Goth shoes? Tell me in the comments

Wednesday Wants

Okay, so I thought of a few Wants for this week. Basically I'll be doing it when I can find enough items.

First off, I just bought a crap load of stuff from Torrid. They had all these belts, and I couldn't resist. Plus this:

Day of the Dead Cardigan. Torrid, $38.50. I totally bought this. They didn't have my size, so I got one up from that. I can just tailor it if I find it's too loose.

Bird skull necklace. Ebay, $16aud. Have I already featured one of these? I can't remember, but I really love these. I think I will buy this one, seeing as it's a good price.

Evans Diamante Swimsuit. Evans, £32.00. It's currently spring here in Australia. Days are usually around 23 degrees C. but a few days ago it was 35 degrees. That's what it usually is in summer, all the time :(
I basically died, I really dislike summer. But it made me think of swimming and eating icey poles. This is the only swimsuit I could find that I really liked.

Wednesday Wants

Yes, I'm late again. I've been reading a book instead of going online to update this blog. So here I am now, doing it at work. Making sure I don't get seen.

Black Stud Punk Rock Gothic Tote Shoulder Bag. Ebay, $32.99usd. I've told you that my Ironfist Zombie bag is dying, so I was thinking about buying one of these as a replacement. Or I'll just get another Ironfist bag.

Black Crochet Cover Up. Yours Clothing, £28.00. I'm a fan of these lace and crochet cover ups. I've realised how awesome they looks teamed up with my lace shirts. Sadly this one has an ugly flower right in the middle of it.

Club Unknown and The Loft

I had a VERY busy weekend. My parents are currently taking a holiday in the UK, to visit family. So I have the house to myself. I'm going to invite some friends over to watch some movies, because I can't have any over while my parents are here.

On Saturday at Club Unknown there was an event for Minx Corsetry. There was a fashion show and a burlesque act, plus lots of good music. The theme was elegant vs. debauchery, I went as elegant.

Here is my makeup and EPIC GLITTER!! Glitter lips, hair and cheeks. Oh, and my nose chain that I made myself.

My best friend, Nix, lent me some eyelashes to wear. She has heaps.

Here is my outfit! I'm in the car park before walking to Club Unknown. I have no idea who's car that it.
Dress: What I wore to my year 12 ball, my friend sewed it for me and I customised it a bit.
Corset: Minx Corsets
Shoes: Demonia (you can't see them)
Lace Gloves: Supre (when lace was in fashion two years ago)
Fan: Local markets
Necklaces: Ebay

I DJed at the Loft on the Sunday after. I slept in my hair for the night before, so I'm still full of glitter. It was a Cure tribute night, so I wore my Cure shirt. I made most of my badges myself using the DIY method.

Detail of my glitter hair.

God, I really hate white shirts on me.
Shirt: Ebay UK
Vest: George at ASDA
Skirt: Millers ($3 at Op Shop)
Tights: We Love Colours
Boots: Demonias

I really had fun at The Loft. Lots of great music and dancing. It was really humid though, and we had really heavy rains afterwards.
Before my friends and I went to The Loft we visited San Churro for some yummy chocolate. It was great, and it's right across the road from The Loft.
