Spooky Tattoo

Last Friday, after work, I went to Foothills Tattoo to get my tattooist Josh to start my other sleeve. My left arm is going to be my 'goth arm' with lots of spooky things.

I was VERY happy with what he came up with. I gave him a vintage photo to copy the woman off, because I loved her pose. He drew her sitting on gravestones with a dripping heart in her hands!
Also you get a nice view of my fat arm :)

Halfway through!

All done!! My next appointment is in October. I'll get some background and colour.

Close-up of her head.

On Saturday I went with my best friend on some errands. We dropped off some posters for the next Alternative Markets and then went to Ikea. Here is what I wore:

Jacket: gifted from Mary at Dancing Maenad
Skirt: Op shop (not sure what brand) It has pockets! I love pockets on skirts
Tights: We Love Colors
Boots: Op Shop (not sure what brand)

I'm super happy about my boots. I found them in an Op Shop last week. It's really hard for me to find shoes in Op Shops, due to the fact that I have big feet and Op Shop shoes are generally gross. They're suede lace up biker type boots. I got them for $10 because the side zip was broken. I don't need the zips to put them on, so I just glued the zip shut :)

The rest of my weekend was uneventful and I just spent my time at home.

Happy Day

I had a really good day today. My friend Merissa picked me up from my house and we went to run a few errands.

First we went to Ikea!

"Remember we parked in G for Goth!"

Random Australian flag in our Swedish Meatballs.

Merissa is taking down the cryptic Ikea information

I got photobombed! I couldn't stop laughing when I looked at my photos!
They had bunnys walking around with chocolate, there was a dude bunny with a beard who was a bit scary.

I also stalked a cute dude working in a the delivery service. He looked like the love child of Vince Noir. I have mad stalking skillz.
"Can we have you delivered to our house?"

We then went to Officeworks, which is a stationary store. Merissa needed to print out posters for her new club The Crypt. I will be a resident DJ playing my usual post-punk and 80s alternative (my DJ name is DJ Prudish)
While waiting for Merissa I drew some pictures in the kids section :)
Officeworks were giving away free Cadbury Creme Eggs!! The cashier said I was aloud to take as many as I liked (I took three!)

We went to Mame (one of the only Goth stores in Perth). We dropped off some posters for the club and said hello to our friend who works there.
I'm wearing:
Cardigan: Target
Dress: Target
Boots: New Rock
Belt: Torrid
Bandana: Adam Ant

I tied my Adam Ant bandana around my hair. I wanted to look as cute as Meagan from Coffin Kitsch
I'm also on Instagram for Android :)

The Natcave

(Alternative title, "Stalking Me, Stalking You")
Some of you have probably been wondering why I haven't been updating regularly. Well, I moved out of my parents house a week before Christmas. Since then I've been busy organising and settling into my new apartment. I bought some bookshelves and a desk from Ikea. I've finally taken out all my decorations and put them up.
There are a few things I still need to do, like putting curtains on my living room window and putting up pictures.

I'm renting, so I can't drill any nails in the wall. Luckily there are a few already in there, and I've been using the sticky hooks for other things.

Without further ado, here is my apartment:

It's a small apartment on the second story of a building. I'm very close to Perth city, it's a 30 minute walk into town.

I finally have room to decorate however I want. The first thing to go up was my framed Bauhaus tour poster that I couldn't put up in my old room.

To the left of the front door is my cupboard for cleaning items and my chest freezer I got from my parents. The living room bookshelf has all my non-fiction and DVDs.

To the right of the front door is my kitchen. My parents gave me heaps of stuff when I moved, like the microwave and a sandwich maker. They also bought me pots and pans. I've also stuck up some bats and skulls on the cupboards that peel off.

I got these cute oven mitts from Sourpuss.

I made a little space for my incense, candles and oil burner. I have a large fabric Kali print that I've stuck up with tape (I shouldn't really have this on the wall because I'll get into trouble). The brown cabinet is actually an old sewing machine! I have black storage boxes for other crap.

Here is a close-up of my shrine. My favourite things is the old postcard of the guys walking through a graveyard next to the lavender.

Here is my bedroom, featuring my attractive accordion wall dividers. My parents also bought me a double bed :)
I have a little desk on the left hand side that has my sewing machine and a bunch of craft projects that I need to do.

Here is the other side of the room, towards the bathroom. My bedroom bookshelf holds all my fiction books. I'm very happy that I have a big wardrobe because I've never been able to hang up my clothes before.

Inside my bathroom looking towards the bedroom. You don't need to see my toilet :P
I love my shower curtain.

I recently got this awesome towel, also from Sourpuss. The calender is from my friends photography business.

My totally goth curtains. I need to get a step ladder to put up the ones in the living room.

The view from my living room window. I live across from a park!!

I'm very happy that I found such a great place. Everyone who's visited loves it, it's great to have my own space.

I've had no trouble from my neighbours, and I can't hear anything through the walls. The only annoying thing is the neighbour to my right who has a toddler who cries crocodile tears all the time.

Wednesday Wants

Not much this week.

I've been very naughty and bought a lot of the things I've been craving. Like more winklepickers, Dr. Martens, and clothes. One thing I really need is a new camera, which I might buy with my next pay.

Good news, I have a busy weekend! So that means more photos. I have Club Unknown on Saturday, and I'm DJing at The Loft Cure Tribute on Sunday. My DJ handle is DJ Prudish :)

Hemnes Mirror. IKEA, $99aud. Yes, I'm so boring that I want a mirror. But I don't have a nice full length mirror. It's really hard trying to figure out if something looks good on you if you have to use a crappy dressing table mirror.
Hemnes Chest of Drawers. IKEA, $399aud. The drawers I currently have are broken. The runners are snapped and the drawers fall out whenever I want to get some clothes. It's very annoying. I might get these, unless I can find something cheaper.

God, No! Amazon.com, $13.58usd (sale price). I would really like to read this. It's the new book from Penn Jillette, I've always enjoyed his way of thinking. I might get it out from the library to read.

Just a quick photo of my makeup for last weeks Loft. I had a 50min set at the beginning, so I played lots of easy-on-the-ears music. The DJ equipment kept playing up on me though, whenever I tried to play a song it always went back to Sisters of Mercy.
