I Hate Summer

It's going to be 40 degrees Celsius (104 Fahrenheit) all week :(
I need to swap lives with one of my readers in the Northern Hemisphere. Any takers?

It was 40 degrees on Christmas and Boxing Day too. I spend Christmas and Boxing day at my parents place (in the air conditioner, doing cross stitch). I stayed the night at my Grans, I think she enjoyed having me over :)
My sister got me a brilliant quill and ink pot for my present (I got her a dashboard zombie for her car). My dad and stepmum got me the new Assassin's Creed game which I asked for (I sewed dad a Dalek cross-stitch and my stepmum a frog oil burner).

it's not nearly cold enough here, but the rain and wind make it awful to be outside! icy rain and -2C.

Right now it's -21C and feels like -35C with the wind chill. If you didn't have so darn many poisonous bugs and snakes in Australia, I'd almost take you up on that offer. Except I hate the heat even more than I do the cold!! :D

You understand it is way too bizarre for me to understand you have summer in december. I am sorry for comforting less, but it is so strange! It means that kids have their summer vacation in winter? haha!

It's winter here. Cold wind and rain.
My freezing mum would be glad to book a flight to your country. :)

I can't swap lives, but I can definitely sympathize. I hate summer, especially the looooong hot summer we had this year. I baked continuously for five months, and I still bake when I'm at work (currently it's 85F/30C in my office). I am SO TIRED OF BEING HOT! Told ya I could sympathize. ;) At least today I can go outside to cool off; it's -6C. I love it.

On a happier note... a quill and ink pot! Awesome! :D

On a dumber note... I first read "frog oil burner" to mean a burner of frog oil (which I hadn't heard of, but hey, there's snake oil and emu oil). But perhaps it's an oil burner in the shape of a frog.

I feel sorry for you, i would have literally died in that heat. We have -10 and it seems to become a beautiful day here. If you could you would be welcomed here. :-)
