On New Years Eve I went to The Gathering, a newish crowd funded Goth night. I was asked to DJ, I had the first set and the midnight set.

I was so honoured to be given the midnight set!!! At midnight I played Blue Monday, while confetti cannons went off. I had a few people come up to me after my set and compliment me on my music. Yay!

I have no new years resolution, because I believe if I want to change something I'll do it now and not wait until the new year.

Paris Day 3: Notre Dame and Goodbye Merissa!

Aaah, our last day in Paris. We woke up early and headed to Notre Dame which was very quiet in the morning. It was always really busy in the afternoon and filled with tourists and scammers.

It was lovely walking around such a historical place. There was a church service going on (mass?) so we got to hear lovely singing, which sent shivers down my spine. It's easy to lose yourself in the history while there is singing going on. One of the first Gothic novels I read was The Hunchback of Notre Dame, so Notre Dame has always had a place in my heart.

This was the last day before Merissa had to head back to the UK and go to work. We visited the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, and a few people tried to scam us! Read ahead for photos and details!

I hope that all my readers have a good holiday and new years. I'll be spending Christmas with my dad and step-mum (although we're not a Christian family).

This is what I wore to my xmas breakfast at work:

We went to a buffet at the Crown Atrium at Burswood (Perth's casino). I ate so much!!

The dress is from Hell Bunny, size 4xl. I had to alter it because it is a halter dress and I don't like halter dresses. So, I converted the straps to a normal strappy dress. Hell Bunny also added elastic gussets in the side of the dress, which looked horrible so I sewed them down so it couldn't stretch out.

I made a shrunken head for my co-worker:

And I got a Bowie tattoo yesterday:

I have paid time off until January 2nd. I'm going to relax and play lots of video games!

1920s Murder Mystery

My friend, Stephanie, invited me to a 1920s Murder Mystery that she was hosting. I said 'yes' straight away, but then freaked out because I can't act and I wouldn't know other people at the party. My worst nightmare!

Well, glad to say, the party went well. I got my costume from Memory Lane Clothing in Mount Lawley near my house.

I got some fake cigarettes :)

 

My character was Dina Diva, a singer who wanted a shot at Hollywood films. Me and another girl drew first place for best dressed, we shared the prize which was chocolate :)

On The Road

I'm officially on my holiday. I spent today cleaning my house and finishing my packing. Now I'm waiting to go to the airport. How exciting! I hope that I can update while I'm in Europe.
I'm a bit scared about going by myself.
I'm very excited about seeing my best friend Merissa. I'm going to hug her to death!
